With this version of the Boletín we begin a new era at the Welte Institute for Oaxacan Studies. From now on the Boletín will be a virtual newsletter. We will continuously update the Boletín as needed. Those who do not have access to the web will receive the Boletín via surface mail each spring and fall.
We continue to look for additional new members. Our ability to attract donations from foundations and other larger donor institutions depends largely on the number of "socios" we have. Please note our new category of joint memberships for couples. In addition we are looking for more institutional memberships. Institutions may become members for and annual donation of $800. Once an institution becomes a member anyone associated with that institution may use the facilities of the Welte Institute for Oaxacan Studies as a full "socio." In addition we will recognize institutional members on our web site and with a link to their home web page.
As a new benefit, a membership donation to the Welte Institute for Oaxacan Studies will bring with it the latest issue of Cuadernos del Sur, a scientific journal published here in Oaxaca.
